“No one shall violate the provisions of the land use master plan!” These are some of the words that were echoed on the second day when the Director General of the National Land Agency, Espérance Mukamana was with the Mayor of Rwamagana, Mr. Radjab Mbonyumuvunyi, who visited the place for land week, and talked with those who came to apply various land services and also talk to the staff who are helping to provide the service at the office of the Muyumbu sector in the Rwamagana district.
In a message to the appointees, Espérance Mukamana reminded them to coordinate the information of their land with time, every presentation is made in front of the land notary because it is the most valuable and provides security to the land owner.
He also asked them to respect the plans of land use, each land should be used for its intended use, especially avoiding building in agricultural land and building in chaos; He said, "You wouldn't ask us to change the agricultural land for housing because it is the one that has money for us. We must protect the land that is intended for cultivation so that no one will be able to fill the buildings alone, because we can't just build them without farming to earn a living."
He concluded by thanking the participants and asking them to remind their colleagues who have not yet registered their land to hurry up for registration.
The Mayor of Rwamagana, thanked all those involved in the preparation of the event, asking the people to be patient when there is a delay in getting services because it is often caused by the number of files that exceed the strength of the service providers. He said, "You know that our area is one of the urban areas close to the City of Kigali, which is heavily populated and people come from all over to buy land, which is one of the reasons why we have so many files and sometimes there is a delay in receiving services. ".
The mayor of the region also returned to the use of land where he asked people to avoid living and building in chaos, asking every citizen to give information where he sees what is being done instead of ignoring it or even confining it to local authorities; "The development is fast, the infrastructure and modern asphalt roads are being built, but we will not build an asphalt road in a mess and it is built in front of you".
The week dedicated to land services known as Land week is not attended by many people where they receive fast service so that most of them get what they asked for that day or even the next day. It will be held in Rwamagana region for two weeks on May 16-27, 2022 and in the following weeks it will continue in other regions of Eastern Province and other regions.
